Game Room at East Ridge

The Game Room is a creative outlet through imaginative play opportunities and is a way to develop social skills via more traditional games that require collaboration.

Not all students flourish from conventional playground time.  The Game Room helps us remain inclusive to all students.

Some 4th, 5th and 6th grade students have received special training to help them run the Game Room, guide good gamesmanship among students, and foster introductions for those who may have difficulty seeking out partners.

This indoor activity will happen separately to Recess Teacher supervision.  The Game Room will require 2 adults to be in the room as a helpful supervisor when needed.  Training will be provided for adults, but student leaders will do all of the work!

Game Room Supervisors are encouraged to sign-up for an extended commitment; sign-ups are slated to begin in January. This is a great opportunity to help support a place for all students to play and build social and emotional learning skills.
